Many different tools can be used for demolition, but the newer and more effective methods may use rotational hydraulic shears and silenced hydraulic-breakers attached to excavators to cut or break through wood, steel, and concrete.
Demolition has 3 different types
- Primary demolition: the structure is teared-down to the ground
- Secondary demolition: concrete is crushed and steel is separated
- Selective demolition: to extract and recycle elements or precious components
